A MESSAGE FROM CATH STAINCLIFFE

Hello! I’m a compulsive writer, the sort who’s happiest when lost in a story. I’m really pleased to be launching Fire in the Fells the second in my Detectives Donovan and Young series set in the magnificent Yorkshire Dales. I so enjoyed taking Leo and Shan on a new adventure where their courage and resourcefulness are stretched to breaking point.

This story, about the murder of a teenage environmentalist, takes place during a scorching heatwave up on the windswept moors (as you can see from the glorious cover). I hope you enjoy reading about Leo and Shan as much as I love writing them. 

I’m also an avid reader and could recommend a gazillion books but for now I’ll pick The Heart in Winter by Kevin Barry, Clear by Carys Davies, Notes on an Execution by Danya Kukafka and The Offing by Benjamin Myers.
